Amy Jackson has developed wanderlust for travel, adventure, and photography over her short twenty-nine years. As a NW native, she accumulated enough rain to feed her sprouting mind for eighteen years before heading to the sun-soaked islands of Hawaii. There she studied computer science, ASL, and the art of cruising; she also worked many jobs to enhance her skill levels.
She then continued her career as an adventure tour guide all over North America. Her main duties were to cater to a diverse clientele of mainly foreign travelers, taking them on one to nine week excursions in a big white van. The groups would mostly camp and she was the sole guide. Amy loved this life, and stayed on the road for over five years before discovering she needed to find another path.
Ms. Jackson attended the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, MA, where she graduated in June, 2007. She has recently moved to NYC and is getting involved in assisting and freelance work with an editorial/commercial slant.
Her long-term goal is to have an expedition photography business, where she will be documenting others research projects, tourism stints, and general tomfoolery.
She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, with her dangerously debonair boyfriend, Tiago, also a photographer.
